What The Favorite Flower of These Important Women Say About Them

Just like your favorite color, fragrance, and style of clothing, your favorite flower also speaks volumes about your personality. In honor of Women’s History Month, Charlotte’s premier florist, The Blossom Shop are featuring the favorite flowers of some pretty famous women who have made a positive impact on this world. Perhaps you’ll find out your favorite flower is the same as one of them!

Jennifer Lopez – White Lilies and Roses

Jennifer Lopez is one of today’s biggest and most talented stars, and her favorite flowers are white roses and white lilies. This singer, dancer, and actor are drawn to the color white for her flowers, which symbolizes honesty, purity, and perfection. Lilies are large, fragrant, and majestic flowers which denotes majesty, fertility, and innocence. The white rose stands for everlasting love and youthfulness.

Lady Bird Johnson – Lavender Bluebell

Lady Bird Johnson enjoyed flowers – notably wildflowers. Through the hard work of her as well as enthusiasm as First Lady, she helped create as well as get passed the Highway Beautification Act. Today, as we drive along U.S. freeways, we see flowers and plants native rather than junkyards. Lady Bird believed flowers, as well as the beauty they bring, can help boost the mental health of a town. She ultimately went on to set the National Wildflower Research Center in Austin, Texas. Lady Bird’s preferred floral was the lavender Bluebell – a charming, gorgeous flower with bell-shaped blooms. Symbolizing love, devotion, and gratitude, the bluebell flower is an excellent representation of Lady Bird Johnson’s character too.

Michelle Obama – Hydrangeas and Pink Roses

Former First Lady, Michelle Obama, likes red roses over some other flowers. Denoting femininity, refinement, and sweetness, the pink rose absolutely embodies Michelle Obama as she exudes style and grace effortlessly. Michelle is also a lawyer along with author and has turned into a role model for good living. The other favorite flower of her is the hydrangea – a flowering shrub with beautiful, full rounded heads of petals. Hydrangeas position for empathy, comprehension, and strong heartfelt emotions – traits Mrs. Obama has in spades.

Peach, lavender, and pink come together to form a beautiful pastel symphony.
